Masking (guarding) is not useful to you or your scene partner.
Give over to what is happening without an agenda.

What do you lose? Do you have specifics in mind?
Scenario: Come from something that is meaningful, immediate, and causal.
It’s my fault. It’s my fault in congruity to your fault. It’s my fault.
I won’t go into specifics, but the main thing is that I can imagine losing you. Losing “everything” is too abstract. It has to be one thing. Otherwise, a level of intellectual abstraction enters the picture and it will not allow your circumstances to take root.
So what do you really lose?
Another way of thinking through this: what’s the most fabulous thing you can do to honor someone? And what would make you need to do it now. Not tomorrow. Not in a few hours.
